Guru Shree Shantivijai Jain College for Women is founded by Shree Mahaveer Jain Kalyan Sangh (Established in 1967), a Voluntary Charitable Jain Association, dedicated to the cause of education and social upliftment. The college is named after the great Jain Saint Yogiraj Guru Shree Shanti Vijaiji Maharaj. We embarked on a mission with a goal of imparting qualitative education to young women, inculcating moral values and instilling confidence in them. Regular Day College was started in the year 1991. This is a Self Finance College approved by the State Government, affiliated to the University of Madras and Reaccredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is also established and administered as a Religious and Linguistic Jain Minority Institution.

The college aims to provide an excellent academic environment to augment and accelerate learning in students and enhance their inner talents and potentials. A unique learning experience is provided through which students acquire the sterling qualities of leadership, courage and truthfulness and become torch-bearers with a noble mission in life.

We have evolved a distinct methodology of teaching to achieve this objective, maintaining high standards of excellence in the academic sphere while also providing facilities for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
